About the Role
As a Business Development Manager, you will own the full sales cycle — from prospecting to closing — bringing our retention automation platform to subscription-based SaaS companies worldwide. You'll work closely with the founders and product team to shape our positioning, messaging, and sales playbook as one of our first commercial hires.
This is a builder role: you won't just be executing an existing playbook — you'll be helping create it, and helping define which markets and segments we go after next.
1. What You'll Do
- Market & pipeline development: Identify and prioritize target markets/segments globally, then build and manage your own pipeline through cold email, LinkedIn outreach, and other outbound channels targeting SaaS founders, Growth leads, Head of Product, RevOps, and Customer Success leaders.
- Discovery & qualification: Run discovery calls to understand prospects' churn challenges, current retention tooling, and subscription billing setup (Stripe, Chargebee, Recurly, Paddle, etc.).
- Product demos: Deliver tailored product demonstrations that connect our platform's capabilities to the prospect's specific churn and revenue retention goals.
- Deal management: Manage the full sales cycle including proposals, pricing discussions, negotiation, and closing — using a CRM to track and forecast pipeline.
- Partnership exploration: Identify potential channel partners, integration partners, or communities (e.g., billing platforms, no-code/app-builder ecosystems) that could accelerate distribution globally.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with the product team to relay customer feedback, and with (future) Customer Success to ensure smooth onboarding and early retention of new accounts.
- GTM strategy input: Help refine ICP (Ideal Customer Profile), regional prioritization, messaging, pricing, and sales collateral based on real market feedback across different regions.
2. What We're Looking For
- 2–5 years of B2B SaaS sales or business development experience, with a proven track record of hitting or exceeding quota.
- Experience selling to technical or product-savvy buyers (e.g., founders, product managers, growth/RevOps teams) — not enterprise procurement-led sales.
- Strong understanding of SaaS business metrics: churn rate, MRR/ARR, LTV, CAC, Net Revenue Retention (NRR), and dunning management.
- Comfortable running both outbound prospecting and inbound demo/closing — this is not a purely inbound-lead role.
- Fluent English (C1+ or native-level), with strong written and verbal communication skills suited to international, cross-cultural business communication.
- Self-starter mentality — comfortable operating with limited process/structure in an early-stage environment, and adapting outreach/positioning to different regional markets.
3. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
